Casa Xonar is located in the town of Silves in southern Portugal, 17 km from lively Portimão and 20 km from popular Rocha. Silves is an attractive town with narrow streets, many beautiful houses and other buildings and terraces. The given name, Casa Xonar, stands for rest, sleep and dreams. It offers perfect accommodation in the center of the old town.
Casa Xonar reflects its historical context with a private feel throughout the house, from its Islamic exterior with a white-wash finish to its roof terraces and hidden bedrooms. The house was renovated by Studio Arte and the design expands as you move from room to room. On the patio, the plunge pool, together with the ambient sounds, creates a fresh and relaxed atmosphere on a hot summer evening. The roof terrace on the second floor is well equipped with two sunbeds, an outdoor shower and an outdoor kitchen, with an amazing view over the city and the surrounding countryside. An absolute must to enjoy the sun here. The star lounge can be found at the highest point of the house; a small place to fall asleep looking at the stars. More importantly, it gives a 360-degree view of Silves.

Casa Xonar has a personal host for its guests; a welcoming service with insight into the local community, restaurants, events and activities in the area. Discover the best spots in Silves just a few minutes walk from the property or venture further afield for the best beaches and surf spots on the west coast. A catering service is also offered; a chef can spoil you with the most delicious flavors and Iberian specialties.
Located on the Arade River, Silves is one of the oldest towns in the Algarve. Here you can still experience the Moorish influences when visiting the famous castle of Silves and other buildings. It is 45 minutes from Faro and half an hour from Albufeira or Lagos. Silves is an attractive town with narrow streets, many beautiful houses and other buildings and terraces. When you explore the surrounding area you will find beautiful landscapes, different bird species and other wildlife, orange groves and lakes teeming with life. It would not be over the top to describe Casa Xonar as magical. It’s a beautiful home, designed so thoughtfully from top to bottom—full of tastefully appointed spaces and rooms. It’s situated at the top of the hill in unbelievably charming Silves witsee more

It’s situated at the top of the hill in unbelievably charming Silves with sweeping city views by day and endless stars by night. It’s comfortable, fully furnished and the host gracious and kind. We will treasure this memory.
